Compost Made Easy 7th Sept 2019
7th September 19, 12:00om–14:00pm
Composting: why should we be doing it? What can be composted? What’s the best method in an urban environment?
This workshop will consider why composting is a key practice in reducing waste and why it’s so important for the health of our soils. There’ll be a look at composting science and good practice for producing the best quality compost quickly and efficiently.
The workshop introduces and compares different composting systems, from wormeries to hotboxes, and looks at composting solutions suitable for even the smallest urban garden or shared back green. “By valuing and making use of all the resources that are available to us, nothing goes to waste.”
