Self Care in Difficult Times 22/11/18
This Self-care workshop will introduce participants to a range of accessible exercises and self-techniques that can be used as part of a daily routine to encourage physical and emotional well-being; or when experiencing physical aches and pains; or when some emotional ‘first-aid’ is needed. Whether that be using a simply discreet technique to help relieve stress during a difficult work meeting or how to reconnect and relax our entire bodies to ensure a good nights sleep after a stressful day.
By the end of the session, participants will have been introduced to Self-shiatsu, acupressure, mindfulness self-compassion techniques and Chinese Medicine ‘five element’ theory and practice.
By individually connecting with what’s happening in our body and mind, participants will develop an increased sense of internal stability and self-awareness, and in a group-setting, develop social connection and connection to the local community and wider social issues.
