How to treat, store and reuse recycled wood 01/12/18
01/12/18, 11am- 2:30pm
Using the collection of salvaged timber at the croft, this course will equip participants, through practical experience, with the knowledge of how to salvage, treat, store and reuse recycled timber. The first half will focus on how to identify different wood types and how to treat and store them properly. In the second half of the session we will construct a salvaged-timber structure, such as a small shed or bike shed for participants to learn how to handle and reuse recycled wood so it lasts!
The aim of this workshop is not to exhaustively cover all the techniques of woodworking that may be encountered but rather to give participants the basic knowledge and confidence to undertake further basic woodworking at home.
