Food Growing Traineeship 2020
Make 2020 the year you grow your skills and confidence in the garden. Whether you have a tiny container garden, an allotment or a dream of becoming a market gardener, this course is a good place to start if you’re new to growing food.
Usually the course takes place over 7 months of the growing season with 7 workshops on Saturday mornings on our croft (10.30-1.30). However, given the current situation with Covid-19 we had to adapt the programme to online sessions. We will now send participants pre-recorded videos/tutorials to learn food growing skills in advance of group discussions. Once you watch the video you will then have an online meeting via Zoom with your facilitator and other course participants to discuss, share experiences and ask questions related to the course. These sessions will be fun and informal as well as informative and will cover different aspects of planning, growing and harvesting.
